Major stock markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded with mostly negative results on Monday, after Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda stated that while the country's inflation is set to accelerate its pace of increase, the BoJ is prepared to ease policy in order to achieve the desired targets.
Japan's Nikkei 225 rose 0.94% at 4:30 am CET, while South Korea's KOSPI Composite fell 0.10% at the same time. Simultaneously, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 decreased by 0.62% and Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 2.27%.
On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Stock Exchange declined 1.04% at 4:15 at CET, while the Shenzhen Composite slipped by 1.18% at the same time. The dollar was up 0.70% against the yen, going for ¥137.0375 at 4:28 am CET.
