Asia-Pacific markets traded mostly higher on Friday as investors digested data published by the Statistics Bureau of Japan, which showed that the inflation rate in the Ku-area of Tokyo came at 3.5% in April.
South Korea's Kospi added 0.66% at 4:05 am CET, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose by 0.85% at 04:06 am CET and Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped by 1.43% at 4:07 am CET. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite traded flat and the Shenzhen Composite went up by 0.49% at 4:08 am CET.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was closed for the holidays.
The dollar traded 0.17% higher against the yen at 4:09 am CET, selling for 142.87400.
