In a reflection of Wall Street's downward trend, Asian markets experienced a predominantly negative trading day on Wednesday, attributed to a scrutiny of corporate earnings reports from both the United States and Asia.
At 3:23 am CET, Japan's Nikkei 225 went down by 0.41%, as the Australian S&P/ASX 200 and South Korea's Kospi Composite respectively lost 0.12% and 0.75%.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite went up by 0.42% at 3:24 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite down by 0.06% a minute later. The dollar traded 0.01% lower against the yen to go for ¥149.9570 at 3:25 am CET and Hong Kong's Hang Seng added 1.89% at the same time.
