Stocks in Asia-Pacific traded higher on Thursday as market participants reacted to the comments by the United States Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and the US central bank's decision on rates.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite increased by 0.74% at 4:28 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite up by 1.04% a minute later. The dollar traded 0.84% lower against the yen to go for ¥135.4165 at 4:30 am CET, as Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.32%.
At 4:30 am CET, Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up by 0.45%, as Australian S&P/ASX 200 and South Korea's Kospi Composite added 0.60% and 0.93%, respectively.
