Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mixed on Thursday after Wall Street closed mixed as United States President Donald Trump announced that tariffs on Canada and Mexico would be implemented on April 2.
Japan's Nikkei 225 traded flat at 2:57 am CET, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng grew by 0.47% at 02:58 am CET and South Korea's Kospi went down by 0.81% at 2:59 am CET. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite and the Shenzhen Composite traded flat at 3:00 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 added 0.36% at 3:01 am CET.
The dollar traded 0.23% higher against the yen at 3:02 am CET, selling for 149.36500.
