Equities on the Asian markets mixed on Tuesday with Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng tracking Wall Street and notching gains overnight as investors await more company earnings results for the second quarter of 2023.
The Australian S&P/ASX 200 stood flat at 4:23 am CET, as Japan's Nikkei 225 lost 0.34%, with Hong Kong's Hang Seng, however, surging by 3.06% at 4:27 am CET.
At 5:51 m CET, the dollar went 0.15% down against the yen, going for ¥141.2560 and South Korea's Kospi Composite added 0.12% at the same time. On the Chinese mainland, the Shanghai Composite added 1.53% at 4:26 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite up by 1.92% a minute later.
