Major stock indexes in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly higher on Wednesday, as investors digested the data published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) showing inflation in Australia rose to 2.5%. Investors also looked over the minutes published by the Bank of Japan (BoJ) showing board members' discussions on monetary policy.
Japan's Nikkei 225 added 0.50% at 3:27 am CET. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 grew by 0.94% at 3:28 am CET.
South Korean, Hong Kong and Chinese markets were closed for the holidays.
The dollar traded flat against the yen at 3:30 am CET, selling for 155.61550.
