Most major stock market indexes in Asia traded lower on Tuesday with investors concerned about the US Federal Reserve possibly rolling out an aggressive campaign to raise interest rates in the world's top economy, which might stall economic growth.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite added 0.49% at 4:52 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite rising 0.81% a minute later. At 4:54 am CET, South Korea's Kospi went down by 1.17% and the Australian S&P/ASX 200 by 1.34% at the same time. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped by 2.65% at 4:55 am CET. At 4:56 am CET, the dollar traded 0.06% higher against the yen, going for ¥130.3930, with Japan's Nikkei 225 losing 0.93% at 4:35 am CET.
