Major stock market indexes in Asia traded mixed on Wednesday with investors reacting to the consumer price data coming out of China, released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics, which saw inflation rising by to 0.2% in July on a monthly basis.
In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite decreased by 0.21% at 4:53 am CET, with the Shenzhen Composite down by 0.13% a minute later.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng went up by 0.30%at 4:54 am CET, as South Korea's Kospi Composite added 1.02%. The dollar traded 0.09% lower against the yen, going for ¥143.2390 at 4:55 am CET, with the Australian S&P/ASX 200 rising by 0.7% at the same time. At 4:35 am CET, Japan's Nikkei 225 decreased by 0.42%.
