Stock exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region traded mostly higher on Monday with the positive sentiment seemingly supported by the People's Bank of China's decision to leave its 1-year and 5-year lending rates unchanged.
At 7:01 am CET the Shenzhen Composite added 0.17%. The Shanghai Composite grew 0.15%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rallied 1.33% at 7:17 am CET. Japan's Nikkei 225 climbed 0.82% and the Kospi Composite rose 0.74%. At the same time, Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.15%.
The dollar was flat against the Japanese yen, to sell at ¥137.77550 at 7:19 am CET.
