Markets in Asia-Pacific traded lower in Friday's afternoon session after the Bank of Japan decided to keep interest rates unchanged. Investors also digested the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) decision to cut its 2023 growth forecasts for Asia to 4% and for the Pacific to 4.3%.
The Nikkei 225 fell 0.64% at 7:03 am CET. The dollar lost 0.05% against the yen to go for 146.2265 at the same time.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 2.56% at 7:04 am CET. In mainland China, the Shanghai Composite slid 1% at 7:03 am CET and the Shenzhen Composite plunged 2.13% at 7:06 am CET.
In South Korea, the Kospi declined 0.52% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 traded 0.90% lower at 7:07 am CET.
