Stocks in Asia-Pacific traded lower on Thursday as market participants reacted to comments by the US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and the Fed's decision on rates.
The markets were also shaken by North Korea's missile launches early on Thursday which came just a day after the regime conducted its record-single day barrage.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped by 2.20% at 3:51 am CET, as South Korea's Kospi Composite lost 0.61%. Australian S&P/ASX 200 decreased by 1.99% at 3:52 am CET, as the dollar went 0.35% down against the yen, going for ¥147.3970. In mainland China, Shenzhen Composite traded 0.16% lower at 3:53 am CET as the Shanghai Composite stood flat. Markets in Japan were closed for an exchange holiday.
