At least 23 people have been killed in the strong earthquake that struck Nepal earlier in the day, local authorities said on Friday.
The authorities noted that hundreds more have been injured and numerous houses were damaged or destroyed in the quake, whose magnitude the country's National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center measured at 6.4.
Meanwhile, Indian media reported that "strong tremors" were felt as far as New Delhi, which is over 500 kilometers away from the quake's epicenter.
