At least 30 dead, 90 hurt in crowd crush in India

At least 30 people died and 90 were injured in a crowd crush at the Kumbh Mela festival in the Indian city of Prayagraj, authorities said on Wednesday. 25 fatalities have been identified so far.

The Uttar Pradesh Information Department said over 57.1 million people participated in taking a dip at the Triveni Sangam confluence, a yearly Hindu ritual. Almost 200 million people visited the festival this year, according to the Times of India.

Stampede in Yemen kills 80
At least 80 people were killed and 220 injured in a stampede at an aid distribution center in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, Xinhua News reported, citing Anis Al-Subaihi, spokesperson for the Houthi-led health ministry.
