United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin warned his new Israeli counterpart Israel Katz that the latter country must increase its efforts to facilitate the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza or risk further military assistance, Channel 12 reported on Saturday.

The report came after the Famine Review Committee (FRC) revealed the results of its study showed the strip is facing region-wide hunger.

Earlier, it was said that Austin and State Secretary Antony Blinken told Israel it had 30 days to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
