United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (pictured center) said on Friday that the delegations of western militaries and Ukraine discussed training of Kiev's troops during the eighth Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
The parties involved also spoke about the maintenance and sustainment of military equipment, Austin revealed at a press conference, adding that other countries are "stepping up" their military supply to Kiev. Russia continues "unprovoked aggression" on civilians and critical infrastructure using "cruise missiles and drones," he claimed.
Austin commended France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Estonia for various weapons and other military supplies to Ukraine, underlining that it shows the results of the contact group. He confirmed that Germany hasn't made a decision on tank delivery and that Poland is willing to provide Kiev with that class of military vehicles.
