Australia's trade surplus came in at 6.9 billion Australian dollars in March, the country's Bureau of Statistics reported on Thursday. The figure beat expectations and came in higher than the 2.8 billion Australian dollar surplus in February.
Imports fell by 2.2% from a month earlier, driven by capital goods, while exports rose by 7.6%, driven by non-rural goods.
