Australia's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 4.1% in February, unchanged from last month's figure, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) revealed on Thursday.
In February, the number of those who secured jobs dropped by 52,800. Last month saw 44,000 people securing jobs. Full-time employment decreased by 35,700 to 10,007,300 people, while part-time employment lowered by 17,000 to 4,505,900 people. The number of those unemployed decreased by 11,200. Meanwhile, the employment-to-population ratio dropped to 64.1%, while the underemployment rate decreased to 5.9%.
The participation rate fell to 66.8%.
