Austria's daily COVID-19 cases top record 18,000 - report

The number of new COVID-19 cases reached a new daily record in Austria on Wednesday, according to a report published by the Kronen Zeitung newspaper.

The Health Ministry allegedly registered as many as 18,427 new infections over the past day by this morning, marking a significant increase compared to the figure of 11,500 seen yesterday.

However, the official data is yet to be published by the country's health authorities.
