The shooting at former President Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania is being investigated as an assassination attempt, the Washington Post reported Saturday.

Two unnamed sources familiar with the matter cited by the newspaper say the FBI, Secret Service, and ATF are actively working on the case.

The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was quickly subdued by the Secret Service, avoiding any harm to Trump. Earlier, President Joe Biden expressed relief that Trump was safe.
