BNP Paribas said on Thursday that its revenue in the third quarter of 2023 amounted to €11.6 billion, rising 4% from the same period a year earlier. For the first nine months of 2023, the bank's revenue amounted to €35 billion.
Net income attributable to shareholders for the third quarter came in at €2.7 billion, marking a 4% decrease year on year, while operating income jumped 11% to €3.7 billion. The lender's cost/income ratio declined to 61.2%.
"The Group's good performance in the third quarter demonstrates the solidity of our model and our long-term commitment to support our clients in all phases of the economic cycle," CEO Jean-Laurent Bannafe stated.
