BYD expected to launch mini EV in Japan in 2026

Chinese electric carmaker BYD is planning to develop an electric minicar exclusively for the Japanese market, Nikkei reported on Monday.

According to the report, the company has already completed the design for the vehicle, which is expected to roll out in the second half of 2026.

The minicar is projected to cost around 2.5 million yen ($17,700).

Porsche shares tumble 7% on disappointing earnings
Shares of Porsche AG slumped over 7% on Tuesday after the carmaker posted disappointing results and cut its 2025 forecast.The company said its profit after tax plunged 44% to €518 million and earnings per share slid 44.5% to €0.56.
