United States President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during which they discussed the bilateral relations between their countries, the White House said on Monday.
"The President emphasized the importance of India increasing its procurement of American-made security equipment and moving toward a fair bilateral trading relationship," the statement read. "The leaders discussed plans for Prime Minister Modi to visit the White House, underscoring the strength of the friendship and strategic ties between our nations."
The two also talked about the crisis in the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific area, and Ukraine, and their cooperation within the Quad.
