Bank of Korea (BoK) Governor Rhee Chang-yon stated Tuesday that the institution will make every effort to coordinate its policy with the government in order to ensure a soft landing of the economy.
"The Bank of Korea, together with the government, will do its best in making sophisticated policy responses to achieve a soft landing of the South Korean economy during this time of clouded visibility due to considerable external and internal uncertainties," Rhee commented in a speech.
Meanwhile, the BoK will keep a close eye on the financial and foreign exchange markets and take necessary measures to keep them stable while maintaining its focus on fighting inflation, he added.
