Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of FTX, will take the stand in the federal fraud trial related to his defunct stock exchange, as reported by CNBC on Wednesday.
The accused 31-year-old entrepreneur had previously pleaded not guilty to seven criminal charges, including fraud and money laundering.
Previously, United States Court Judge Lewis Kaplan placed the FTX founder in custody ahead of his October criminal trial due to concerns that he "attempted to tamper with witnesses."
