European Union top Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said as the third round of Brexit talks ended on Thursday that United Kingdom's demands to keep access to the single market after its departure from the bloc are "impossible." He added Britain and the EU "did not get any decisive progress on any of the principal subjects" during the negotiations so far.
Barnier noted the three issues which should be addressed first during the talks are the rights of EU nationals, Ireland and UK's financial obligations. The EU official blasted Britain for refusing to honor "financial obligations" to the EU, as well as for sending letters to EU citizens requesting from them to leave the country.
