United States Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen dismissed concerns about a weakening labor market signaling an impending recession, stating that she is not observing the typical signs of such a downturn.

She emphasized the resilience of the spending side of the economy and refuted predictions linking inflation control to high unemployment rates.

Touching on geopolitical matters, Yellen highlighted the importance of US aid to Ukraine, asserting that Washington's failure to secure funding approval would make the US "responsible for Ukraine's defeat."
