Belgium decided on Sunday to suspend all flights and Eurostar trains from the United Kingdom due to the spread of a new strain of the coronavirus in England. Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said the ban will start at midnight on Sunday local time and last at least 24 hours "as a precaution."
"Of course, that could be extended should it appear that we have more conclusive data," he added. The Netherlands has already introduced a similar measure, although the strain has already appeared in the country. Germany is also said to be considering banning travel from the UK.
