Governor of Belgorod Oblast Vyacheslav Gladkov said Monday that the number of people injured as a result of the latest attack by Ukrainian forces in Russia's Belgorod region increased to 109.
In a message on Telegram, Gladkov added that 25 people died, including 5 children. Local hospitals are still receiving victims from the attack, he noted.
Earlier during the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin slammed Kiev for performing a "terrorist attack … right in the center of the city, where people are walking before the New Year," and threatened not to let it go without retaliation from Moscow.
