Otzma Yehudit party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir was reappointed as Israel's national security minister on Wednesday after Israel resumed strikes against Hamas and launched a ground operation in Gaza.
"A lot of work lays ahead of us, and I will continue, together with my ministry staff, to implement my policies in the Prison Service and the police," Ben-Gvir said and thanked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for allowing the restart of the war against Hamas.
The far-right politician left the Israeli coalition government on January 19 as he opposed the ceasefire with Hamas. He then accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of surrendering "to terrorism."
