Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday via Telegram, expressing frustration over Hamas's repeated rejection of a proposed deal. Ben Gvir called for an end to hesitation and urged the government to take full military action against Hamas without reservation.
"Mr. Prime Minister, after Hamas rejected the deal proposal again - there are no more excuses. The confusion, the shuffling and the weakness - must end. We have already missed too many opportunities. It is time to go in with all our might, without blinking, to destroy, kill and lose Hamas to the last one," he wrote.
On Thursday, Hamas said that the latest ceasefire and hostage deal proposal, put forth by United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, did not meet "any of our people's demands." Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron called on EU members to take a tougher stance against Israel.
