The United States Supreme Court announced on Thursday it would hear oral argument in favor of the Biden administration's student debt relief plan in February.
However, the plan will continue being on pause for now, effectively preventing tens of millions of Americans who have applied for government support since President Joe Biden announced it in October.
The plan was highly opposed by the Congress Republicans.
