United States President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak want to reach a trade agreement between their two countries before their respective elections in 2024, Politico reported on Tuesday.

According to the documents sketched by the US Trade Representative (USTR) Katherine Tai's office and obtained by Politico, the US and the UK intend to open negotiations on the matter in October and have the content of the deal completed by spring.

"We're discussing and considering a range of things, but all is very much in early stages and nothing has been finalized yet," a source told Politico.
