White House Domestic Policy Adviser Susan Rice (pictured) said on Tuesday that United States President Joe Biden and his administration aim for the "equitable and inclusive recovery" from the coronavirus crisis, adding that "building a more equitable economy is essential" for the country.
Speaking at a press briefing at the White House, she noted that "families of color have been affected disproportionally by this crisis." The president's plan is expected to cut the US poverty rate by 30% and to reduce child poverty by 50% across the country, Rice unveiled, claiming that the Biden administration intends to promote fair housing policies for all Americans.
Biden will sign executive orders to end private prisons and combat xenophobia against Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders, the White House official underscored.
