Biden allegedly assures governors he got a medical checkup

United States President Joe Biden supposedly told more than 20 Democratic governors during an hour-long private meeting that he underwent a medical checkup after the debate last week and is fine, Politico reported, citing three sources familiar with the talks.

At some point during the meeting, one of the governors present asked Biden about his physical condition, to which he stated that he had a checkup in recent days and stressed that he remains in good health, before knocking on wood for effect, according to two sources.

However, Biden's claim, according to a person familiar with his schedule, was in reference to a brief checkup by a White House physician due to lingering symptoms from his cold, meaning that the checkup did not involve any major tests.
