Biden committed to deeper US-UK ties with new PM Starmer

United States President Joe Biden congratulated the newly appointed UK Prime Minister, SKeir Starmer, in a telephone call emphasizing the "special relationship" between the two nations.

Biden expressed eagerness to collaborate closely on significant global challenges and strengthen US-UK cooperation across various shared interests, the White House said. In addition, he conveyed his commitment to deepening ties and expressed his desire to welcome Starmer to Washington, during the upcoming NATO Summit.

"I look forward to our shared work in support of freedom and democracy around the world, and to further strengthening the special relationship between our two countries," Biden posted on X.
