Biden urges Pentagon to send arms to Ukraine after overnight attack

United States President Joe Biden on Wednesday directed the Department of Defense to continue its "surge of weapons deliveries" to Ukraine following Russia's overnight attack against the war-torn country.

"The United States will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen Ukraine's position in its defense against Russian forces," the White House quoted Biden as saying.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of "deliberately" launching a massive attack on his country on Christmas, stating that 70 missiles were fired toward Ukraine overnight.
