United States President Joe Biden said on Friday that it is important to "keep at" the Gaza ceasefire deal.
Yesterday, it was reported that the agreement on a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is unlikely to happen during Biden's term. The president emphasized that he still believes a ceasefire deal is realistic, saying that "a lot of things don't look realistic until we get them done" and reiterated that "we have to keep at it."
Biden also reflected on the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. "We're continuing to try to do what we've tried from the beginning, to make sure that both the people in northern Israel, as well as southern Lebanon, are able to go back to their homes, go back safely," Biden told reporters and added that "we're going to keep at it at until we get it done, but we've got a way to go."
