Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the topic of the United States elections on Thursday at the Eastern Economic Forum.
"[US President Joe] Biden was our favorite [candidate], but he was removed from the race. Now he called for support for [US Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala] Harris. Well, that's what we will do, support her," Putin joked.
The head of Russia made further jokes saying that Harris' laughter is "infectious" and shows that she is "doing well." "[Former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald] Trump has imposed more sanctions on Russia than any president before, and if Harris is doing well, then perhaps she will refrain from such actions," Putin said.
