United States President Joe Biden (pictured) said Thursday that Hurricane Ian could be the "deadliest" in the history of the state of Florida.
While in a visit to FEMA headquarters for a briefing on Hurricane Ian, the president warned that early reports indicate that there is a substantial loss of life and material damage. "The numbers… are still unclear, but we're hearing reports of what may be a substantial loss of life," he said.
At the same time, he called on the gas and oil companies not to raise the prices of the commodities in the middle of a sensitive situation. "The United States is watching, and the industry must do the right thing; I hope they do the right thing."
