United States President Joe Biden claimed on Wednesday that he would beat his likely Republican opponent in the 2024 presidential election and his predecessor Donald Trump.

He told reporters at the White House that there are "about 50" other Democrats that would win the race against Trump. Asked to name them, Biden left the conference room without answering.

According to several US media outlets, Biden told donors at a campaign event yesterday that he was not sure he would be running for president in 2024 if Trump had also not announced his candidacy.
