United States President Joe Biden insisted on Wednesday at the opening of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) summit in Washington DC that the alliance is "stronger than we've ever been."
Biden pointed out that, since he took office in 2021, the US doubled the number of its troops in the Eastern Flank, Sweden and Finland joined the group, and the alliance raised its defense investments. He also stressed that "we cannot allow the alliance to fall behind" Russia, Iran, North Korea, and China's military production and cooperation.
"We can and will defend every inch of NATO territory, and we'll do it together," Biden underscored.
