United States President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that seniors in the country should be fighting against diseases, not drug companies.

During a speech on lowering healthcare costs, the president added that due to the Inflation Reduction Act, "seniors are paying $35 a month for insulin instead of $400," while adding that from today, another ten drugs will be negotiated by Medicare. "Reducing the cost of these ten additional drugs alone will help more than 9 million Americans," he added.

Finally, Biden added that the US pays more for medicines than any other country in the world. "We're going to see this through. We're going to keep standing up to Big Pharma, and we're not going to back down," he asserted.
