United States President Joe Biden restated his stance that the country has to address gun violence in his speech at the National Association of Counties 2023 Conference on Tuesday.
Expressing condolences to the families of the victims of yesterday's Michigan State University shooting, the president underscored: "We have to do something to stop gun violence ripping apart our communities."
Biden added that legislation has to be passed to counteract the damage technology has on children, to "change the way the Internet works." He noted the importance of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act which invested $10 billion into preventing violence, $2 billion of which were aimed at supporting young people.
