United States President Joe Biden asserted on Friday that the world's future, in technological and economic terms, will be "written" in the Indo-Pacific region.
Delivering remarks along with his South Korean counterpart Yoon Suk Yeol, the president of the US, stressed that both nations are "standing at an inflection point in history where the decisions" they take today will have a far-reaching impact. In the same line, Biden welcomed the agreement with Samsung and Stellantis, urging other companies to invest in that country.
Finally, he emphasized the importance of strategic agreements in the region in the midst of the supply chain crisis following the pandemic and the effects of the Russian military operation. These are topics, he said, he will be discussing with president Yoon during "the visit and in the months ahead."
