United States President Joe Biden (pictured) said Sunday in an interview with CBS that the pandemic was over.
"We still have a problem with COVID. We're still doing a lot of work on it. ... but the pandemic is over," Biden told CBS' Scott Pelley. "If you notice, no one's wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape. And so I think it's changing. And I think this is a perfect example of it."
At another point in the interview, he recalled that the country had lost one million people due to COVID. He added that he had managed to get 220 million vaccinated during his term. "We were left in a very difficult situation. It's been a very difficult time. Very difficult," he concluded.
