United States President Joe Biden said on Thursday that his administration will soon announce another $800 million in military aid for Ukraine, "including new advanced Western air defense systems, more artillery and ammunition counter-battery radars," among other equipment. This will add to nearly $7 billion in support for Ukraine sent from the US so far, Biden stated.
The US president reaffirmed his country will support Ukraine "as long as it takes." He pointed to the impact of Western sanctions, stating that Russia is "going to have trouble maintaining oil production because they need American technology, and they are in a similar situation in terms of their weapons systems."
