United States President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Washington will "under no circumstances" permit the forced relocation of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
In a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Biden also pointed out that the United States will not allow permanent "besiegement" of the Palestinian enclave or the "redrawing" of the Gaza borders, the White House disclosed in a statement.
Additionally, the US president highlighted that Gaza cannot remain a "sanctuary" for Hamas "where they can threaten Israel and Palestinians alike" and "imperil any pathway to a durable peace."
