Cryptocurrencies traded higher on Friday with Bitcoin climbing back above the $60,000 mark again after the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics released the jobs report for April.
The report showed that the US added 175,000 nonfarm payrolls last month, which is less than analysts had expected. The Bureau of Labor Statistics also said the unemployment rate in the country grew slightly to 3.9%.
Bitcoin (BTC) rose 2.26% to $60,414 at 8:50 am ET, and Ethereum (ETH) gained 1.38% to sell for $3,029.12 at the same time.
