Blast reported at Iranian military site in Isfahan

An explosion shook a military facility in the Iranian city of Isfahan on Sunday, according to a report published by state broadcaster IRIB. Per the agency, the blast didn't cause any casualties.

"The explosion took place in one of the munitions manufacturing centers of the Defense Ministry and according to an announcement by the political and security deputy head of Isfahan Governorate there were no casualties," the report noted.

Iranian official Mohammad Reza Jannesar explained that "the damages are being investigated as well as the causes and elements that caused this explosion and ... will be announced later." The Defense Ministry separately said the explosion is believed to be caused by a drone attack.
